Our project has achieved some amazing things, but none of it would have been possible without our amazing volunteers who have given so generously of their time and energy. They have joined us in all weathers for training sessions, survey work, guided walks, hard labour, and hopefully some fun too!
Our volunteers have recorded hundreds of ancient and veteran trees for the national Ancient Tree Inventory maintained by The Woodland Trust, including one huge oak which is the fifth largest recorded in Devon with a girth of 8.11m.
Our volunteers surveyed and recorded 13 historic Clyst Valley orchards for the People’s Trust For Endangered Species
More than 70 volunteers and 62 primary school children joined us last winter to plant three completely new woodlands totalling 1.38 Hectares. That is a brilliant total of 2700 native trees and shrubs.
Thanks everyone – you’re amazing!
